4. The Annual International
The International Dota 2 Championships were held in Seattle, Washington. For the third year in a row, the city hosted the fourth edition of The International. Unlike the previous two years, the tournament was hosted at the KeyArena in Seattle Center, a multi-purpose arena with a total seating capacity of nearly 17,000 people.
The main event of the competition had a total of 16 teams. 11 of these players were invited directly, while the remaining four teams had to qualify through separate regional qualifiers. Furthermore, the runners-up in those qualifiers were given one more chance to compete for the final position in the main competition.
5. Halo World Championship

9. Smite World Championships
The Smite World Tournament is a well-known annual world championship for the multiplayer online battle arena video game Smite. Hi-Rez Studios held the first Smite World Championship from January 9–11, 2015. Furthermore, teams from North America, South America, Europe, and China flew to Atlanta, Georgia for the competition. The tournament’s $2.6 million prize pool was the third-highest in eSports at the time.

10. The Frankfurt Major
The main event was organized by Festhalle Messe, a multi-purpose performance auditorium in Frankfurt, Germany. It features a massive seating capacity of approximately 9,800 people and used the same Main Event format as The International 2015. The competition was hosted and organized by the Electronic Sports League (ESL).
In an announcement made on October 5, eight teams were given straight invitations. In addition, Regional Qualifiers were held from October 10–13. In addition, the Open Qualifiers, which were open to all players, was held on October 6–9. On October 1, registration for the Open Qualifiers opened.
